Master Gardener's Citrus Tour

We start the Master Gardener Citrus Tour inside the Georgia Grown Citrus USDA certified greenhouse with a discussion about growing various types of citrus in different environments and climates.  We spend a lot of time talking about what it means to be a certified citrus grower and why that’s important. We discuss rootstocks, cultivars and budding/grafting.  Afterwards we journey up to the JoNina Farm citrus grove and discuss microjet irrigation, freeze protection, fertilization and pest control.  At the end of the visit, we return to the office where shopping of citrusy products abounds!  It is always a great day to share knowledge and experience of growing citrus with each other, so gather your gardener friends, call us up and arrange a visit.  It’ll be loads of fun and you might learn something new about gardening.
