Custom Citrus Soil Blend

This is the same custom soil blend we use every day in our own citrus nursery—crafted specifically to support healthy roots, steady growth, and happy citrus trees whether they’re growing in pots or in the ground.
 
What’s inside (and why it matters):
 
 80% Ground Pine Bark
The backbone of the blend. Pine bark provides excellent drainage and airflow, preventing soggy roots while breaking down slowly to feed your tree over time. It also encourages strong root development—critical for citrus success.
 
 10% Sand & Peat Moss
This duo balances moisture and stability. Sand adds structure and weight to keep containers from tipping, while peat moss gently holds moisture so roots stay hydrated without staying wet.
 
 10% Perlite
Lightweight and airy, perlite improves oxygen flow and drainage, helping roots breathe and reducing the risk of root rot—especially important for container-grown citrus.
